Testing out my camera with: Cornbread

My new camera has some awesome new features. One of them is the food setting; let's compare.

Do you want some light green cornbread or some dark yellow cornbread?

Farmer's Market

Today we went to the Farmer's Market. I love going there; the best time to go is on Saturdays. Saturday is when the "craft" people come. On the other days of the week it's just the "farmers". It isn't as fun to go when it's hot but once it gets cold outside it's awesome. Sadly, November 1st is their last day.

The craft/homemade people have all different stuff. There's goat's milk soap and lotion, jewelry, candles, coffee, and more.

Because it's October, there are TONS of pumpkins and weird gourds. I brought my new digital camera, and took some (okay, a lot of) pictures.

This is only one tenth of how many pumpkins there were, and they were HUGE

I'm thinking about opening a Flickr account for my pictures, should I?

Things in my House Thursday #13

I got this from my Aunt Nellie. For the past two years I have baked her something on her birthday, so she got me this for my birthday. She brought it over when I was at Veritas (school) but it was a pleasant surprise when I got home.

I love making loose leaf tea so the teapot is perfect!

:)

Today is my birthday! I'm 14!

Yesterday was birthday Sunday. My Aunt Patsy's birthday was Saturday and mine is today so we shared the same b-day Sunday.

These are some of the things I got: laptop case, target giftcard, a watch, and my favorite candy, Ferrero Rocher.

This is how Christopher wrapped his present to me, completely out of newspaper. He even made the bow out of newspaper.

Awesome cake box, there is a zipper pull right where all the sprinkles are to open it.

Laptop case and homemade card from Jessica

Watch
And last but not least. . .

An orange digital camera!!

Things in my Room Thursday #12

I'm doing pictures again for Things in my House! I didn't paint these though.

My mom used to 'do' eBay, buying and selling on there all year long, but not much any more. When she was on eBay, she bought a lot of paintings. She had about twelve or so all from the same artist - a man in Vermont that painted (watercolor) scenes from New England. We were hanging some up in the living room and I decided I wanted some in my room. I chose the three I liked the most.

Here they are:

Things In My House Thursday #11

Things in my Room: My Trophies.

I have 12 trophies. I have seven soccer trophies, two music trophies, two bowling trophies, and one tee-ball trophy. The soccer and tee-ball trophies weren't awarded because I did something, they're more so keepsakes (they were given to every member of the team). I got the music trophies from my piano teacher after recitals. The bowling trophies were the only ones I won.

My bowling trophies, the 07 one is second place, the other one is first place.

I only played t-ball one year; and my uniform was a little big on me...

When Christopher was helping me edit the pics, he went a little crazy with special effects.... otherwise he would have to be working on a school paper...

My New Template!

As I'm sure you see, I have a new template. Thank you so much, Amy! She made my new template in a few days. It was Amy's idea to use the picture I painted as my header. The quote was my idea, it came from a magazine that my mom had. I'm amazed at how computer savvy some people are. I will get all my widgets and buttons up again soon!

The Winner is Announced!

There were some great bakery name ideas but, I think it would be pretty weird if my bakery had several names:  Mary's Tiny Cottage and Everything Nice with Muffins In Your Tummy Bakery.

Hmmmmm....

THE WINNER; I actually changed the name slightly to suit me better but I got the idea from:

Things in My House Thursday #10

Welcome to Things in my Room. Today on Things in my Room we will interview the amazing lamp/lampshade that helped shape a room. Here we go:

Me: So, where did you come from?

Mr. Lampapalooza: I came from a little store called Hobby Lobby.

Me: Oh, I've been there, it's a beautiful place.

Mr. Lampapalooza: Yes, yes it is.

Me: Was it hard to leave Hobby Lobby and are proud of what you've done?

Mr. Lampapalooza: To tell you the truth, I was glad to get out of there. I mean, I love Hobby Lobby but, I couldn't do anything important while I was there. I'm very proud of what I have done.

Me: Are you finished with your job or do you hope to do more?

Mr. Lampapalooza: I think I'm just going to sit back and relax for a while. I may do more someday, but for right now, I'm taking a break.

Me: Well, Mr. Lampapalooza, it has been a pleasure talking to you.

Mr. Lampapalooza: It's been a pleasure talking to you! I wish I could stay and chat but I'm afraid I have to go light up a beautiful room.
