Sewing and Bowling

This sewing was our first "open" class. We got to bring any project we wanted to do. I am working on another clown outfit. In the open class there are three other girls. Jessica and I only met two of them because the other girl is in Florida. Jessica is working on a red with white polka-dots dress, Rebecca is working on a orange seersucker shirt for her little sister, and Katie finished a cute green halter dress she had been working on.

At bowling we had our end-of-the-season party. We got to bowl for free and they gave us pizza. Also, we got tickets to enter to win a bowling ball. Everybody won a prize; they had a big table of miscellaneous (but good) stuff to pick from. I got a $20 giftcard to Target (see what I mean by good?). Christopher got a $20 giftcard to Starbucks; he wouldn't normally have gotten that, but, by the time his ticket was called most of the stuff he might have chosen was gone, and he knew Mom would be very happy to get it. After all the prizes were passed out, they awarded trophies. Sarah and I won first place!! We have very nice trophies!

If that wasn't all good enough, Sarah gave me a cross-stitched clown that she's been working on for me. It is very cool. I really like it because it is pretty big. So, this was a great celebration and I enjoyed the party, but I wish bowling wasn't over.

Word Up: Ubiquitous

Congratulations on your 1st place win for bowling. Are you the only two on your team? It sounds like there were great prizes to choose from also. Target and Starbucks would be big hits in this house. Maybe Bartlett will have cool prizes like that too.

Rachel clogs with that girl, Sarah. Congrats on first!! Nice prizes, too! Do you know what you are going to buy yet?

Also, that's a nice cross stich project. I like the way she personalized it with your initials.
